Costume Error

Some of the costumes ordered we too small to fit the main actor in the music video, for instance the gloves were too small but we have found a substitute for this, with another pair of paintballing gloves. the cape is also too small but we feel that it will do for the hero. A big success is the blood capsules which we tested and work well in creating fake blood in the mouth. They will be useful in creating a gritty fight scene.

The costume is a big part of our video, since it shows a contrast of character from the victim to the hero. It flips the attitude towards the bullies. We also want him to look like a hero with aspects of an everyday student much like the film Kickass. He will also wear a black mask and a black hood to make his identity concealed to the characters but also to be obvious that the hero is the victim in the previous shots of the video.

Superhero Logo

CD Template

CD Jewel Case Template - Leaflet

CD Jewel Case Template - Inside Back Cover
CD Template - CD Face

CD Jewel Case Template - Front + Back Composition

We are going to use these templates to create a professional standard CD cover, with these templates we can then accurately create a CD pack with the right artwork on the right areas and dimensions. With the right measurments we can get the right size of pictures for the album cover, we now also know that we need 6 differant images for the digi pack.

Changes To Our Blog

Since our main actor who would play the victim/hero has left the school half way through the development of our media video, we needed to act swiftly to get a second actor. Thankfull we found a student who fits into our character and will be free on our video shoot day. Another change is location, instead of going to the hero's room we have decided that we should shoot in the changing rooms. The reason for this was mainly becuase of time contraint. We also think that it will run smoother if we do not leave the school premise throughout the whole video. We have also decided not to include people in the studio which makes an easier simpler shoot since in the studio it will only be the DJ.

Artists Websites

I have researched a number of differant Artist's websites to see what they include, whether they used soundcloud to show the viewers any new songs, if they had contact details, their tour dates, information on band members, any items that people can buy online such as t shirts or the cd itself.

  http://killnoisekill.com/

Kill the noise is an american dj who plays both house and dubstep with his house music becoming increasingly popular. He is a young new dj who is rapidly growing. I looked on his website, and it was designed to look like an old retro arcade game with space invader style colours. It had many links to his youtube site, his soundcloud, facebook and twitter accounts for fans to view. It also had contact and booking details for promoters. Interestingly it also had a discography of all his own music and his mixes of other songs.

http://www.benga.co.uk/

Benga is one of the leading English DJs who is from south London. This website is very much differant to Kill the Noise website, because Benga's has a video of one of his singles which plays automatcially when you go on the website. Then in big font it has his gig dates, his twitter and facebook accounts, and also a music store. One thing that they all have in common is that they both clearly state who the artist is, what genre of music they fit into. They both have either a logo of the dj (Kill the Noise 'Skull with a flap cap) and Benga's website has a clear picture of him performing in the background. Benga's website is much more simpler in design as Kill the Noise has a lot more colour and links on his website.
