Vertigo Film Company

I would choose Vertigo Film Company to produce my film mainly because they specialise in smaller budget films involving British actors and British directors which I think help convey the story better because it is set in England., they specialise in thrillers and horrors such as Ajami, Monsters and Point Blank. A similar film that Vertigo has made compared to my thriller is Outlaw since they both involve revenge, violence and characters which feel they have been betrayed. My thriller is also similar to the 2005 film, Stoned because both films contain unexpected deaths and unexplained deaths. Vertigo also makes films with first time directors and lower budget films. They distribute some films worldwide such as Street dance and Tucker and dale vs. evil. They also release films which are released more locally such as The Firm and Football Factory. Vertigo films specialise in Horrors Thrillers few comedies and gritty British films. Vertigo specialise in a target audience, with the firm specialising to a male British young audience because it is based on football. My film will most likely to attract the young, male audience. Vertigo sells their distribution rights globally before the film is released to recoup money to invest in other films and cover costs, they also like to make films withy a clear genre, they also have low budget films so even if they make a loss in the cinema they will have a greater chance of making money using DVD sales. A first time film maker will have a relatively small budget and therefore Vertigo would be a good candidate to produce the film they aim their films at a niche market audience.
