Exambles of Album Artwork Close to Our DJ
Scrillex is slightly differant to Strio in the fact that he makes much more aggressive Dub-step. The album artwork however is simmilar to other dubstep/drumstep album covers. This album cover called 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' has a sci-fi feel to it, with futuristic fonts and neon lights to give of almost a 'blade runner' theme feel. The colours and metalic background suggest a robotic almost mechanical style of music. Scrillex has a unique genre of music with very much robotic dubstep this is a link between the artwork and the music. The font is also large and imposing which suggests an aggressive style of music, which Scrillex again conforms too.
Skream's album cover is very much differant to Scrillex, they are still both in the same genre of music but possibly not in the same sub genre which Skream having more rythmm and vocals in his songs. The image is also very differant, it has a younger appeal to it with what looks like a house party of some kind, its very clear who the target audience is, which is the teens to young adults age brackets. The cover is much more grittier and urban, since it has no futuristic or robotic feel it aims towards a working class audience. The font is very bold again which will show the consumer that the music is likely to be loud and aggressive.
This Album cover is unique in most ways because it doesnt have a picture of the artist, it doesnt have many clues into what genre of music that it is, and the character is likely to attract children. The only indications to what music the album presents would be from the record label in the bottom right corner, 'Mau5trap' being on of the leading dance record labels, run by the globally famous 'Deadmau5'. The other indication would be the title, 'Feed me's escape from electric mountain' indicates that since it has 'electric' in it, the music maybe fast and bold. Also the character isn't friendly looking meaning the music will be aggressive and fast.
